As we dined celebrating my daughter Amy’s twenty-first birthday, in the midst of conversations full of laughter; She asks me, “How has it been for you to see us grow? I want to know because I turned 21 today.” I replied, “If I give you the answer right now, you’re going to start crying.” So, we started laughing and continued eating.
Mientras cenamos celebrando los veintiún años de mi hija Amy, en medio de conversaciones llenas de risas; ella me pregunta, “¿Como ha sido para ti vernos crecer? Quiero saberlo porque hoy ya cumplí 21 años.” Yo le respondí, “Si te doy la respuesta en este instante, vas a comenzar a llorar. Entonces nos comenzamos a reír y seguimos comiendo.
The Bible does not mention how old Joseph was when he married Mary. Nor when Jesus was born. It doesn’t even mention how old he was when he died. In fact, very little was written about Joseph despite the fact that his presence as husband, head of the family and the putative father of Jesus Christ was transcendental in God’s plans.
La biblia no menciona que edad tenía Jose cuando se casó con Maria. Tampoco cuando nació Jesus. Ni siquiera menciona la edad que tenía cuando murió. De hecho, se escribió muy poco de Jose a pesar de que su presencia como esposo, cabeza de familia y padre putativo de Jesucristo fue trascendental en los planes de Dios.
Hace algunos años mientras conversaba con un grupo de personas acerca de lo difícil que puede ser definirnos a nosotros mismos a través de los años que hemos vivido, se formo un breve silencio que fue interrumpido cuando una de las personas que estaba presente se puso de pie, me miro insistentemente, mientras con tono agudo y de forma directa me pregunto: ¿Quién SOY? Después simplemente comenzó a llorar.
A few years ago, while I was talking to a group of people about how difficult it can be to define ourselves through the years we have lived, a brief silence formed that was interrupted when one of the people who was present stood up. He looked at me insistently, while with a sharp tone and directly, he asked me: Who I am? Then he just started crying.
At the moment that Eve and Adam ate the forbidden fruit; they opened their minds to the knowledge of the arts, science, discovery, wisdom, the freedom to choose between good and evil, bringing about the consequence that their immortal bodies were transformed into a mortal and temporary state of life. In other words, they allowed death to become a part of their lives.

En el momento que Eva y Adán comieron del fruto prohibido, abrieron sus mentes al conocimiento de las artes, la ciencia, el descubrimiento, la sabiduría, la libertad de poder elegir entre el bien y el mal; trayendo sobre si la consecuencia de que sus cuerpos inmortales fueran transformados a un estado mortal y temporal de vida. En otras palabras, permitieron que la muerte comenzara a formar parte de sus vidas.

How many of you can define “WILL”? Because for me it is a total confusion to want to find the correct definition. “WILL” can be an affirmation, denial, noun, verb, question, answer, expression of admiration or simply the absolute truth of BEING.
¿Cuántos de ustedes pueden definir la palabra “SERA”? Porque para mi es una confusión total querer encontrar la definición correcta. “SERA”, puede ser una afirmación, negación, sustantivo, verbo, pregunta, respuesta, expresión de admiración o simplemente la verdad absoluta de SER o ESTAR.
