Lark had a resentful expression on her face. Resentment that penetrated her skin, traveling rapidly through her veins until it reached her heart. Transforming her in a dramatic way, until she stopped looking like a girl and became a harpy capable of hurting with a vehement desire.
Alondra tenía una expresión de resentimiento reflejada en su rostro. Resentimiento que penetro su piel viajando rápidamente por sus venas hasta llegar a su corazón. Transformándola de forma dramática, hasta dejar de verse como niña para convertirse en una arpía capaz de lastimar y con vehementes deseos de hacer daño.
Perhaps it seems contradictory to only speak of how time can pass slowly for people who suffer from a disease; or time that can pass as fast as a shooting star, for those who are immersed in their own world, enjoying a happy life, without perceiving the pain of others that can often be mitigated with a SMILE.
Tal vez parece contradictorio hablar del tiempo que puede transcurrir lentamente para las personas que sufren alguna dolencia. O tan rápido como una estrella fugaz, para los que inmersos en su propio mundo disfrutan de una vida feliz, sin perciben el dolor ajeno que en muchas ocasiones se puede mitigar con una SONRISA.
It is very common to hear people say phrases that they do not fully understand. Phrases that are created with words that are easy to memorize. And because of the simplicity with which they are written, people do not fully understand the complex meaning the phrases have or the psychological damage can cause when they are unconsciously spread, or when they are repeated irresponsibly.
Es muy común escuchar a las personas decir frases que no comprenden a cabalidad. Frases que son creadas con palabras fáciles de memorizar. Y que, por la sencillez con que son escritas, no comprenden totalmente el complejo significado que poseen o el daño psicológico que ocasionan al ser esparcidas inconscientemente cuando se repiten de forma irresponsable.
The gray night heralded a brutal event, beginning with chilling screams of pain coming from the old adobe house at the end of the street. The house of the Sombrerón, as it was known, had recently been rented and was in one of the most popular neighborhoods in Jutiapa. At the end of the courtyard of the house, was an imposing ceiba tree, whose branches were being used as torture arms.
La noche gris presagiaba un acontecimiento brutal, que comenzó con escalofriantes gritos de dolor que provenían de la vieja casa construida de adobe al final de la calle. La casa del Sombrerón, como se le conocía había sido recién alquilada y estaba ubicada en uno de los barrios más populares de Jutiapa. Al final del patio de la casa había una imponente ceiba, cuyas ramas estaban siendo utilizadas como brazos de tortura.

Lugar donde renuevo mi energía y se fortalece mi espíritu al vivificarse cada célula de mi cuerpo en armonía con mis creencias religiosas, brindándome la oportunidad de sentirme más cerca de Dios, a través de la amistad inquebrantable de mis amigos de la infancia y juventud. Evocando mis días de adolescencia cuando se entretejieron lazos fortificados en vivencias compartidas con cada uno de aquellos, que a través del tiempo han permanecido inamovibles a un sentimiento fraternal de amor, de servicio reciproco y gratamente compartido.
