COLDNESS.

How difficult and contradictory it is to feel the warmth of my own body while sensing the coldness of yours, as if you were part of the frozen brick walls my hand brushes against as we walk together through desolate streets.

How hard it is to think that you once made me experience the burning fire of boundless love, even as I bowed my head and closed my eyes to avoid facing the coldness in your gaze. And I wish I could stop thinking about how you once made me feel truly alive when you loved me.

I still remember the happiness that radiated from your skin when you felt, for the first time, something your body had never known before. Who would have thought that, as time passed, our love would end in the coldness of your silence?

Yet, for the last time, I continue walking beside you through desolate streets. I remember when I used to walk with you along streets lit by smiles, and the madness of the love you made me feel when you loved me.

And I want to scream in pain that I reject the coldness in your gaze. Because I want to feel your love again. Because with you, I learned to live the best part of my life, and I do not want you to teach me about the cruelty of the world through your departure. Because I will love you all my life, even if you leave.

Cast aside the coldness of your body and make me tremble with love. Cast aside the coldness of your feelings and let me feel your warmth once more. Cast aside the coldness that subjects me to endless torment and come back to life so that I might be happy.

If you could hear me one last time, I would speak only tender words to reignite the warmth of your soul. If I could drive away the coldness from your body, I would urge you to keep living—but I cannot…

How difficult and contradictory it is to yearn for eternal love, when the moment has come for us to move forward apart. You move forward along illuminated streets, while I continue along desolate ones—trying to forget the coldness that separates us…
