It is very common to hear that words are carried away by the wind, but actions from many occasions remain tattooed even in the soul. If we do not take care of our way of speaking, acting, or thinking when we interact with the people we love, we can cause wounds that remain open like living flesh embraced by the heat of the fire or marred by the salt of bitterness that corrodes the heart of those who have been victimized; consciously or unconsciously, we are the people that hurt whom we also love.
There are emotions that are difficult to bear or control due to the cataclysm they cause inside our bodies. Especially when they attack us directly in the heart. Human emotions are instantly aroused as positive or negative reactions to external influences that we cannot control. And although they can start as simple sparks of fire, they can grow uncontrollably, forcing our brain to suppress all bodily functions to avoid suffering from an intense pain that could destroy us completely.
We have probably heard on occasion that the world is very small and since it is round, sooner or later we will meet again with people whom we have not seen in a long time by chance or coincidences of fate. Alicia uses to live in the same neighborhood as Eduardo, she was a neighbor of her parents and a close friend of Eduardo’s mother. Although Eduardo knew that Alicia had a daughter, he never had the opportunity to meet her, because Alicia and her husband sold her house and moved out of town months after Nora was born. However, Alicia had kept in touch with Eduardo’s mother, but she always came alone whenever she visited them. Approximately, more than five years had passed since the last time Eduardo saw Alicia, so Eduardo’s astonishment when he met her again was overwhelming for him. Especially since she was Nora’s mother, who was physically identical to Ana and it was impossible for Alicia not to know that, because Eduardo’s mother had sent her photos of him and Ana’s wedding, after Ana died.
The expectation of being able to do something wonderful in our lives fills us with so much excitement that it is difficult to maintain our normal body functions. The night before Nora had stayed awake until dawn. Then tiredness overcame her, forcing her to fall asleep involuntarily with the image of Eduardo’s face in her mind. The next day, Nora was still sleeping in her bed, breathing peacefully, while the sound of the wind was heard hitting the roof of the house, the raindrops gradually falling to the ground. Thus, with the sound of rain little by little Nora woke up that morning.
Pale and dismayed, Eduardo could not answer immediately. He felt his whole body vibrating, while his masculinity woke up when he felt the rose of Ana’s hands caressing his face and hair. Stunned and with his mind alienated by the accumulation of sensations awakened by the smell of roses in spring that Ana’s perfume emanated, he slowly stammers “Yesss, Yes I want to marry you Ana”. As he watched as her reddish-gold hair shone in the sunlight, wishing for that moment to become eternal and never end.
Almost all written romantic stories, such as soap opera stories or movies, end at the peak of love between the protagonists, creating time-honored stereotypes of what love is as a couple.
Personally, I really like romantic stories, especially those that end with the repetitive phrase of “AND THEY LIVED HAPPYLY EVER AFTER.”
Last night I woke up crying, because I dreamed that you were walking away from me and although it may seem unreal; you were sleeping, as Juliet shouted “Romeo, Romeo, where are you that I do not see you?” Do not laugh at me! Because it was a terrible nightmare, to think that I was losing you.
But I am with you! And when I woke up, I opened my eyes and felt your breath; as I caressed and saw you next to me. What a wonderful gift and privilege! To be able to wake up, to realize that it was just an awful dream. That instead it is a wonderful reality. To have you for me!
