The morning began in total darkness. And, unable to tell if my perception of the world has changed… here I remain, by your side—weeping!
Could it be me? The only one unable to see the light of this new day? Because the sun that shone yesterday… has gone out within your eyes—dissipating the glory of your charm amidst tears, mingled with the final words whispered by your lips.

The future is uncertain, and I do not know what I shall do. The only thing I know for sure is that the world remains in its place… still spinning. Yet, I do not wish to continue my journey through this world like a wounded pup. If need be, I will appear strong and brave to the world I inhabit—even as deep within a tear—bitter, sorrowful, and painful—trickles down my throat, destined for my heart.
In silence, before you, I asked for forgiveness… for my words shattered along with my voice. Yet, every beat of my heart cried out your name: Marina! Marina, forgive my lackluster love. I cannot let you become merely a sad memory; I need you within me to go on living.

And since the world keeps spinning, I rise to my feet—even though this day is bleak and lonely. I realize now that I have lost an immense love—a love I hadn’t even fully grasped was by my side. So, I beg you: do not judge me today if you see me weeping like a hungry child. For tomorrow, I shall have all the time I need to become the man you always wanted—the man you envisioned whenever you saw THE SUN IN MY EYES.
I know my hands will never touch you again, and I know full well that your hands will never caress me again. Forgive me if I ever made promises I failed to keep. Forgive me if I was ever foolish, or if I rebelled against your reprimands. Forgive me for not knowing how to ask for forgiveness and forgive me for not knowing how to say in time how much I love you.

Fly high until you reach your glory. Fly freely through a blue sky, filled with light. Fly without looking back, so that nothing may dim the happiness you have always sought. Because I shall walk without ever taking my eyes off the sun; for as long as the sun shines in my eyes, I will know that you are with me—and that I remain alive in this world, happy to have loved you with THE SUN IN MY EYES.
